Steph's 22nd Birthday

We went out to the Burswood Casino for Steph's birthday this year. We had dinner at Carvers, then went and played casino wars. I won $70 and have a crisp green note in my wallet to show for it. We then went to the hotel lobby and bar. Vanessa and I went up to the bar intending to get some drinks, but instead came back with four French macarons and a ridiculously sweet mango and vodka cocktail... trust us to give in to our stomachs. It was quite a nice night, and it was refreshing to spend it almost completely sober.

Today I am rugged up in stockings, a blue dress, purple scarf, and a big knitted jacket. I have a flu so excuse the nose and dry lips!

I decided to take a picture of my new tragus piercing. To be completely honest I adore it. I now have ten piercings in total. Three in each ear lobe, tragus, labret, bellybutton, and nipple. Think I will stop at ten, but I love them all.

Okay, so I had planned to take a really creative picture with just the right books in a elegant background. However, when I went to choose which ones to use I just couldn't... wouldn't want to hurt their feelings. To be fair I did exclude quite a few... but I decided to choose a space, aim, and shoot. So here is some of my novels and psychology texts.

... now I think about it I hope my cooking books don't find out that I didn't even consider putting them in the shot, whoops. Perhaps my relationship with inanimate objects is getting out of control.

30 Day Challenge

So I have decided to do this 30 day instagram photo challenge. I will post each photo onto my blog as well as on instagram. I don't think I will get around to doing them every single day... but over a couple of months I will eventually end up with the 30 proposed photos. I also think I will do them in no particular order depending on what I want to photograph on the day. So here we go... I will keep you posted.

Tea Blossoms

I found a wonderful online tea store which sells both blooming and regular tea for quite a reasonable price. I am in love, and made a order a week ago which arrived in the mail today. I bought the sampler pack, four blooming balls (green, jasmine, marigold and globe amaranth), peppermint tea bags, a glass tea pot, two glass tea cups and saucers, and a tea box. I am so happy with my purchase and have been waiting in anticipation all week! Vanessa and I had one of the blooming balls which came in the sampler pack (green tea and peach) tonight and it was just divine. This is going to be my go to stress relieving activity. What could be better than a truly beautiful pot of tea, some macarons, and a good book? Seriously.

It is an amazing experience watching the flowers grow in the hot water.
 It could brighten even the darkest of days.
