Birthday wishes.

Mama's birthday is on Saturday the 13th February, but we celebrated it today. Nan and Daddy picked me up from home early this morning and we started our little adventure to buy Mama some presents. We went to JB HIFI to get some brochures so Mama can see what they have (because I gave her a voucher for Christmas). Then we went to the Art Shed, it is this amazing art supplies shop. We all had so much fun deciding what we should get and found some really great stuff ( I am sure she will have them featured on her blog sometime soon). I didn't have much money but I made sure I had put some away for this occasion and I managed to find some incredible things. 

Afterwards we went to Nan's place where she made some macaroni and cheese, I wrapped all of the presents and we all discussed what we would do when we went back to Mama and Daddy's. We had so many different ideas, but we all agreed to set up a 'treasure hunt' in the living room (however in such a small place the presents were not hard to find!). I had so many butterflies in my stomach because I was so excited to see Mama's face when she saw all of the presents, since she wasn't expecting anything from any of us. So we packed up the car and headed to surprise Mama.

After we exchanged birthday wishes, I felt as though the excitement was going to start dribbling out of my ears... so we told her about the hunt. She was so surprised and we all headed into the lounge room. Her face completely lit up when she saw the presents scattered around the room, it was lovely to see. She continued to shine as she opened the presents and we were all so happy for her. She rarely asks for anything, so to spoil her just made my heart smile. We all shared a lovely lunch and dessert together and chatted for a couple of hours.

Mama, I want to send you birthday wishes for Saturday. You rarely get anything for yourself and seeing you today was amazing. What I love more is that you have gotten back into creating art and we were able to give you things that may help or inspire you to continue. You are a special mother, wife and daughter and never think we don't realise how precious you are. You are one in a million and you are the world to us all. I treasure every second I spend with you and I would not trade our relationship for all the gold in the world. I love you with all of my heart and soul...
